With version 2.4.0,SilverStripe's aim remains the same: to give web professionals a productive environment for delivering websites and web applications.

Allowing for nested URLs to support larger website structures and more expressive hierarchies.

2.4.0 alpha will be the initial preview release of this new work. Our primary focus will be on getting the first version of the new developer APIs released, so that site developers and module maintainers can see how these new APIs will interact with their code as soon as possible.

These are some key features that we hope to resolve in 2.4.0 alpha:

#2508: Hierarchical URLs
#3404: MS SQL Server Support (Database abstraction)
#4140: IE7: Stack overflow error
